Our Journey

Our Journey,
Rooted Here.
We're Jamie and Courtney Wood. We've raised our three kids in the Grand Valley, built businesses side-by-side, and learned the hard way what it takes to keep going when everything changes.
Six Chapters. One Mission.
Every community-changing idea starts long before the launch. Here's ours.

- Entrepreneurs since age 26
- Years spent in the early rise of online marketing
- Always building, always learning, always adapting

- 2016: We bought a 20-acre farm in Loma
- We entered the booming CBD hemp space
- We went all-in on agriculture

- The CBD bubble collapsed
- COVID hit
- We lost the market — and had to start over

- Jamie became the Farm Manager at Blaine's Farm Store. There she saw the need firsthand for a more robust local food system
- Courtney helped build farm systems and infrastructure
- We saw the same friction every week: farmers working hard, families wanting local food, and the path between them far too complicated

- The Grand Valley needed a centralized online market and a physical food hub
- Free to join for farmers, ranchers, and local makers focused on feeding and nurturing community
- Food should move farm → hub → front door with less friction

- We built FarmersMarket.store to keep more food dollars local
- A marketplace and distribution system designed for the Grand Valley
- Local farms and makers, one homegrown platform

The Fall
We saw firsthand how volatile and challenging farm work can be. Thin profit margins, unpredictable markets, and a system that often works against the people growing the food.
But every hard season taught us the same lesson — if we wanted to build something lasting for our community, we had to stop waiting and start building. So we started asking people what they wanted most.

The Call
Our community’s call was clear: easier access to farm-fresh food, and a simple way for local farms to reach the people they feed.
- Most families in our valley rely on a major grocery store for nearly all their food
- Local farms deserve a direct path to the community they feed
- A new food revolution is rising, and we want to be part of it
